NEW ZEALAND CLEARING FACILITIES IN WELLINGTON NEW ZEALAND
EXPORTING CONTAINERS AND LCL YOURSELF TO WELLINGTON NEW ZEALAND YOUR GOODS MAY BE STOLEN : But heres a list of your payments or what we paid for a 20ft FCL with many various items inside. Remember it was over 40 individual items and boxes in the container
Devanning can take 2 days and they do have forklifts. Took 2 Thais 1.5 hours to load by hand in Thailand. An excellent container and LCL delivery trucking Company is Mainfreight which are one of the biggest trucking companies for swingarms in NZ on the wharf. Tel: 04-473-6139 Fax: 04-473-6138. Ken Harris or email: kenh@mainfreight.co.nz Good service and excellent PR. IMPLICATIONS FOR THOSE WISHING TO REMIT TT FUNDS TO THAILAND FROM NEW ZEALAND. If you do not have a Bank account in New Zealand but of course have Credit card or cash the banks will not allow you to make the transfer if no bank account in NZ but even if so they cannot guarantee the funds within 1 week. All TT senders must hold a current NZ Bank Account. Our answer from Westpac Bank Information was tourists will never send money home??? they only receive?? Wellington NZ wharf is a joke but interesting to hear from others affected by having shipments stolen---- so please write to us if you have your goods stolen. We would not recommend having your goods devanned for inspection by CentrePac, Wharf 37 Wellington, New Zealand as we sent a container. The padlock was bolt cut when we gave the Company keys to unlock and lock & goods were pilfered after inspection from the MAF and Customs. No explanation was ever given to our Company by this Company or others. OPTIONS SENDING SHIPMENTS TO WELLINGTON NEW ZEALAND Personal Effects arriving by Sea freightAs above, personal belongings arriving via sea require an Unaccompanied Personal Baggage Declaration (NZCS 218).(164 Kb) A detailed packing list should include all items in the consignment. A good tip is to number boxes or packages and make a list of the items inside. Full containers, privately imported goods or personal effects arriving in a sea container also require a Sea Container Quarantine Declaration(20 Kb) which must be presented to MAFBNZ Clearance Service. The declaration should then be signed by a manager of the packing or exporting facility. At the exporting facility the container will need to be inspected internally and externally and found free of contaminants.. The declaration also states what type of packing materials and wood packaging were used. If the container is to be unpacked at a private residence, the container must be placed on a hard sealed area. Consignments of personal effects shipped as LCL or FAK must be inspected at a transitional facility, not a residence, if inspection is required. Before you send goods to NZ ask MAF the alternatives to have your goods inspected if MAF needs to inspect.
Goods that the MAF Biosecurity New Zealand Clearance Service wants to see are:Also see Restricted Items
These items are NOT necessarily prohibited, but they require inspection. In many instances a declaration as to the state of manufacture may lift this requirement. Our inspections are generally to determine cleanliness and the presence or otherwise of insects or prohibited items. We thought pilfering in NZ was full proof but it’s a joke so be warned. It used to happen a lot back in the 60s and 70s but it still happens to day in October 2007. For all those affected by CentrePac or on the wharf in Wellington or NZ stealing your goods please email us as we would like to know your experiences.
6/. ASK MAF for alternate facilities to inspect and what are your options and where else can you have inspections carried out. 7/. Take photos We are an established Thailand Ltd Company and have been in the shipping business now for the last 10 years being affilated to the Thai Federation Of Industries (EAN); Chamber of Commerce; and Member of Thailand Foreign Trade. We praise ourselves on offering our customers quality services from packing, information, shipping and clearing which we have maintained over these years which has established Asia Trading Shipping in the forefront of the Internet in shipping goods worldwide in and out of Thailand for customers both big and small. Our services to our customers are paramount and we have never lost a shipment or had items stolen from one of our shipments in all these years. . However this all changed in NZ in Oct 2007. We not expect to get restitution for our goods stolen for as the saying goes we should have had insurance; but we believe in making a point. The point is sometime after inspection the goods were stolen either by Centrepac or the Transport Company but we are at a loss why our instructions of bolt cutting the padlock or even replacing the padlock was not done .
